Question:

How can customer compare the usage of Azure CSP resources that he sees in CCPv2 and the value in the corresponding Billing Order.

Answer:

The current value of all consumed Azure CSP resources is shown in the following places in CCPv2:

  • CCPv2 > Home > AZURE (tile) > Current Usage
  • CCPv2 > Azure (tab) > Consumed Resource Amount (tile) > Invoiced Amount
  • CCPv2 > Azure (tab) > Top 3 Resource Usage (tile) > Total
  • CCPv2 > Azure (tab) > Consumed Resource Amount (tile) > VIEW USAGE REPORT (button) > SETUP REPORT:, see Total Invoiced Amount on the bottom of the report page

This value is updated daily and obtained from the usage of OA Resource Type Total Cost of Azure Services, further divided by 100.

It is the summarized value of all consumed Azure CSP resources from the beginning of billing period. The end customer is billed by the system for the usage of this OA resource only.

For example, in the end of the Billing period you see $30.43 in all aforementioned places in CCPv2, and you see usage = 3043 unith of Total Cost of Azure Services OA Resource Type.

In this case the following Billing Order will be created:

Description Quantity UnitPrice Extended Price
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Cost of Azure Services 3,043.00 unith 0.01 CAD 30.43 CAD

Customer can also compare Billing Orders for the previous billing periods with consumed Azure resources using CCPv2 Azure reports:

CCPv2 > Azure (tab) > Consumed Resource Amount (tile) > VIEW USAGE REPORT (button) > SETUP REPORT:

  • Report Type: 'Summary Usage for Billing Period'
  • Billing Period: specify required billing period
  • create report and find Total Invoiced Amount on the bottom of the report page

NOTE: for Azure CSP application before version 5.0, the total invoiced amount in CCPv2 could be different from Billing orders due to the following issue:

Azure CSP: difference between usage report in CCP and Billing Order
