Domain deletion fails: Azure AD GRAPH API Error: 'Domain deletion attemp failed'

Symptoms

The task Unprovisioning "Domain" for APS application Office 365 fails with the following output message:

APS Application Error:
500 Internal Server Error
[ApplicationUnknownError] Unprovisioning: resource 48983182-1c16-41c8-93fd-656a7990ce3c of type 'office365domains' (http://www.parallels.com/Office365/Domain/2.1) for APS application 'Office 365-17.2.1-4': Azure AD GRAPH API Error: 'Domain deletion attemp failed.'..

Cause

The domain in question is the .onmicrosoft.com domain. The .onmicrosoft.com domain is required by the Office 365 service and should not be deleted.

Resolution

The corresponding feature request PFR-1297 has been submitted in order to prevent the deletion of .onmicrosoft.com domains from CCP.

Please contact Odin Technical Support in order to apply the workaround and complete the failed task without effect in the Microsoft cloud.
