Symptoms

Provider has configured GeoIP database folder as described in OA Billing Provider's Guide. Then billing application node was migrated to CentOS 7 according to KB #130127. But folder with GeoIP database was not copied to the new server.

Cause

This behavior is recognized as a software issue with ID POA-112393 (Folder of GeoIP database is not migrated from CentOS 6).

Resolution

  1. Make sure that file /usr/local/bm/etc/ssm.conf.d/global.conf contains variable path_geoip_db in section [environment], create it if necessary according to OA Billing Provider's Guide.
  2. Create a new folder providing the same path as defined in the variable path_geoip_db.
  3. Download the most recent version of GeoIP database from here and put it to the folder from step 2.
  4. Restart pba service
