Question

  1. Is it possible to change SSH root password for an OACI Virtuozzo hardware node / backup node / storage node?
  2. Is it possible disable root access or block port 22 for an OACI Virtuozzo hardware node / backup node / storage node?

Answer

The answer to both questions is "Yes", it is possible to restrict SSH connectivity for OACI managed hosts. The routine operations like backup/restore/migrate will not be affected.

However, SSH root access is required, when a new hardware node is registered in OA or an old node is re-registered.
