Symptoms

An upgrade/downgrade/change order is stuck in Long Running Operation status and then fails by timeout.

There is a failed Upgrade Completed event:

Execution Failed: Inactive Deliver Line cannot be split!

Cause

The issue is caused by #PBA-74747 ("Upgrade order in long running operation with 'Execution Failed: Inactive Deliver Line cannot be split!'").

If in the subscription service history there are records about manual change of the subscription expiration date, then the issue is caused by the bug with id #PBA-76130 (Another way to get "Inactive Deliver Line cannot be split!"). What happens in this case - the subscription is renewed till some day, deliverlines are generated; then the subscription expiration date is changed to the earlier date; on resource upgrade/downgrade there is an attempt to merge/split already generated lines, but some of them are further than the current subscription expiration date.

Resolution

Please contact Odin Technical Support for workaround.
