Symptoms
A domain is used by a Plesk Domain or a Plesk Client subscription. On Plesk node the domain is configured as an alias.
DNS records of the domain are not propagated from Plesk to OBAS. Under Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > example.com > DNS zone tab
only NS and SOA records are visible, and on the DNS Records Suppliers
tab there is the warning
WARNING: No DNS records were found at plesk node #XX for current domain. Perhaps domain is not used yet.
Cause
When there is only one domain alias on a Plesk node, OBAS does not recognize it correctly. Such behavior was classified as the software issue PBAS-30494 and was fixed in OBAS 4.5.7 release.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, please upgrade to 4.5.7 as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.
Workaround for 4.5.6
If upgrade is not an option for you, there is a hotfix for 4.5.6 version. To install the hotfix, please download 64-bit hotfix or 32-bit hotfix depending on your OS and install it by running the commands below.
For 64-bit OS:
# rpm -Uvh hspc-plesk-4.5.6-53.swsoft.x86_64.rpm
# service hspcd restart
For 32-bit OS:
# rpm -Uvh hspc-plesk-4.5.6-53.swsoft.i386.rpm
# service hspcd restart
Warning: Restart of the hspcd
service will cause OBAS downtime for about 10-60 seconds.
After the hotfix is installed, please go Top > Service Director > Plesk Manager > Nodes
, click on the Plesk node where the domain alias is located and press Synchronize now to update the node cache.
