Symptoms

There is a domain example.com. It is using four Name Servers from the Name Servers Set:

Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > example.com > Name Servers

ns01.nameserver.com
ns02.nameserver.com
ns03.nameserver.com
ns04.nameserver.com

That is also reflected on the DNS Zone tab:

Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > example.com > DNS Zone

NS ns01.nameserver.com.
NS ns02.nameserver.com.
NS ns03.nameserver.com.
NS ns04.nameserver.com.

Name Servers was changed to Use custom Name Servers:

Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > example.com > Name Servers > Edit > Use custom Name Servers

ns1.another.nameserver.com 192.168.1.2
ns2.another.nameserver.com 192.168.1.3

On the Name Servers tab only two new name servers are shown. But the DNS Zone tab lists the following nameservers:

NS ns04.nameserver.com.
NS ns1.another.nameserver.com.
NS ns2.another.nameserver.com.

The last name server from the Name Servers Set ns04.nameserver.com remained intact.

Cause

Such behavior was classified as the software issue PBAS-29979 and was fixed in OBAS 4.5.5.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, please upgrade to 4.5.5 as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.

As a workaround, please remove the last name server (ns04.nameserver.com in our example) from the domain DNS zone manually.
