PBA-S contains huge number of Outgoing E-Mails:
Top > Configuration Director > Logging and Errors > E-Mails Logs > Outgoing E-Mails
The messages are stored in table
core_email, which is too big.
What is the best way to remove, for instance, years of email archiving, without breaking any stuff on PBA-S ?
It's by design that the outdated statistics (according to Data Retention settings) is removed automatically, once a day. In addition, at any moment you can manually remove the outdated statistics (use the Tasks tab on the Data Retention screen). To remove outdated e-mails:
Top > Configuration Director > Miscellaneous Settings > Data Retention > Tasks > mark enabled "Remove outdated emails" and click "Start the process"
This will remove all emails older then value "Sent E-mails" set on the configuration page:
Top > Configuration Director > Miscellaneous Settings > Data Retention > Settings
Please refer to PBA'S Provider's Guide for more detail about Data Retention:
Additionally you may remove all e-mails using the /usr/sbin/hspc-clean.pl script. Run it with option
"l" to remove the emails - this will clean the core_email table:
[root@pbas43 ~]# su - apache -bash-3.2$ /usr/sbin/hspc-clean.pl l erasing... cleaning...
Run the utility without any options to get the list of all options.
