A customer has Parallels Automation subscription with Windows shared hosting and several websites in IIS, all websites use shared application pool in IIS.
A customer want to configure their IIS website either of the ways below:
- Use separate exclusive IIS application pools for each website
- Switch one of websites to exclusive IIS application pool leaving other websites using shared pool
POA allows to configure exclusive IIS application pool per webspace only, not per website. So, a customer cannot configure separate exclusive IIS application pools for each website within single webspace, and also a customer cannot configure only one of websites in a webspace to use exclusive IIS application pool leaving other websites in the same webspace using shared application pool. Additional details can be found in POA documentation: Tuning Physical Hosting (IIS) Resource Type Values in Service Template.
This means, that no matter now many websites are created in a single webspace, only one exclusive IIS application pool can be used for one Windows shared hosting subscription. A customer may switch all their websites hosted in a single webspace to use exclusive application pool in POA Customer Control Panel at Parallels Panel > Websites > click on any website > Web Hosting Settings > IIS Application Pool tab. If a customer switch some of their websites to exclusive IIS application pool, all websites will be switched to the same pool.
In order to be able to swtich IIS website to exclusive application pool a customer should have non-zero limit on the Exclusive Application Pool resource in their Windows shared hosting subscription.
