OBAS allows you to register a Parallels Server Bare-Metal (PSBM) or Parallels Cloud Server (PCS) node, not only as a Parallels Server node, but also as a Parallels Virtuozzo Containers (PVC) node.

If the server is registered as a PVC node, it can be used to provision the containers.

Before the registration, PVA Agent should be upgraded on the PSBM/PCS node. Use the following instructions:

  • PVA Agent on the PSBM/PCS 4.0 node should be upgraded to the version 4.6-1509.2.
  • PVA Agent on the PSBM/PCS 5.0 node should be upgraded to the version 4.6-1777.

Use instructions from "How to check build number of PVA currently installed" to get VZAgent version.

After the PVA Agent update, register the PSBM/PCS node through "Virtuozzo Manager":

Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > Nodes > Add new node

NOTE: VZAgent 4.6 protocol should be used for communication while registering the node.

Once the node is registered, it can be used for container provisioning. From the Billing point of view provisione PSBM/PCS containers will be treated as Virtuozzo containers.
