  • Virtual Automation 4.5

Use the attached script to back up or restore Parallels Virtual Automation (PVA) Management Server. The pvabackup.vbs file should be extracted and copied to the C:\Program Files\Parallels\Parallels Virtual Automation\Management Server\bin\ folder:

Backup command example:

cscript pvabackup.vbs BACKUP c:\mn_backups

(where c:\mn_backups is the folder the backup will be saved to).

Restore command example:

cscript pvabackup.vbs RESTORE c:\mn_backups 20091027222544

(where 20091027222544 is the folder, including the backup, which needs to be restored).

If PVA Management Server is installed inside a Container or Virtual Machine, you can also back up this virtual instance in order to back up the PVA server.

Note: The script can be used to migrate PVA Management Server to a new server using backup and restore functionality.
