Resolution

Title:

Error "A system error has occurred. Either user, password, ip are incorrect" when trying to access VDSs Control Panels



Problem:

When trying to access the control panel getting the error:

"A system error has occurred. Either user, password, ip are incorrect"


 What was found?

The problem is related to file system permissions.


Explanation:

When trying to access the control panel, the login process creates temporary sessions.

These temporary sessions being created under Sphera_Home_Dir\temp .

If permissions on this temp directory are wrong, sessions will not be created and login process to control panel will fail.


Solution


In order to correct the problem you should grant read and write permissions to the primary VDS anonymous user on the Sphera_Home_Dir\temp directory.


This can be achieved by the following:


1. Right click on the directory and choose properties.

2. Choose Security Tab.

3. Click Add

4. Choose the desired user

5. Highlight the user and set permission by selecting the checkboxes below.
