Symptoms

The following error appears when attempting to add Linux SD via ClusterDirector:

"Failed to fetch java GUI package Ju3_7_i148 from [SD Name]. Failed to add [SD Name]."

Resolution

The problem might be related to loading (installing) public gpg keys on the server.

Verify that the following files exist and are not empty:

pubring.gpg
secring.gpg

(Both Files are under ~root/.gnupg/)

Afterwards, run the following commands:

1) gpg --homedir ~root/.gnupg --list-secret-keys

You need to see an encryption similar to the following string:

/root/.gnupg/secring.gpg

------------------------

sec 1024D/EBFA6733 2002-06-13 Sphera (Sphera key) <service@sphera.com>

2) gpg --homedir ~root/.gnupg --list-public-keys

You need to see two encryptions similar to the following strings:

/root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg

------------------------

pub 1024D/EBFA6733 2002-06-13 Sphera (Sphera key) <service@sphera.com>

pub 1024D/294C8E34 2002-06-13 builder (builder key) <service@sphera.com>

If there is a problem with one of the signatures then there is a possibility that the date of the Server is wrong. If the Server has an old date, then the gpg keys may not be loaded.

You must update the Server date and time and then reinstall ClusterDirector.
