Symptoms

How to force a connection between the ClusterDirector to the GLM (License is not being updated)

Resolution

Open the  the 'master.xml ' in a text editor (vi) and change 'the last_exec_time' to 1 :

controller="sphera.controllers.SClusterLicenseTaskController"

has_sub_node="true"

key="CCmdClusterLicense"

label="ClusterDirector License"

view_screen="gui">

gui_visible="false"

interval="7"

interval_after_failure="5"

interval_after_success="7"

key="defaults"

last_error=""

suspend="false"

timeout="300"

unit="days"

unit_after_failure="hours"

unit_after_success="days"/>

gui_visible="false"

key="tasks">

cmd_type="CCmdClusterLicense"

exec_now="false"

has_sub_node="false"

interval="7"

interval_after_failure="5"

interval_after_success="7"

key="3"

last_error=""

last_exec_time="991912429" ------------> change to 1

status="PASS"

suspend="false"

task_time="194"

task_type="cyclic"

timeout="300"

trials="11"

unit="days"

unit_after_failure="hours"

unit_after_success="days"/>

After this change the Cluster should connect to the GLM manually, and the problem is solved immediately.

**** Before you are doing any change on XML files, please stop the component you are modifying and restart it after you did the change.
