Resolution

There is no roll-back mechanism for Sphera RPM installations.
However it is possible to re-install the RPM package by the following procedure:
 
1. Check the SPHERA_BASE>/log/rpms_install.log file and fix the issue preventing the previous installation process.  
2. Backup the <SPHERA_BASE>/conf/rpmdb.xml file.
3. Remove the following 2 lines from the <SPHERA_BASE>/conf/rpmdb.xml:
 
<package date="<PKG_INSTALL_DATE>" name="<PACKAGE_NAME>" patch_version="ServerDirector-XXX-X" release="4.21AS.8" spec_build="0" version="<PACKAGE_VERSION>"/>
 
4. Re-install the RPM package
