In this case you should delete the leftover data via the following Open API command:

export SPH_USER=<PVDS_USER>
export SPH_PASSWD= <PVDS_PASSWORD>
<SPHERA_BASE>/openapi/formatter -ip <PRIMARY_IP> -cmd '<API><CMD cmd="del" keys_path="<VDS_NAME>"/></API>'

Check that the VDS tree has been deleted from the XML file.
If error occurs, check the <SPHERA_BASE>/log/powerscript.log file.
