Resolution

Problem

When trying to delete or create a domain in Helm, it fails and the following errors are found in the error logs:

2007-07-31 10:43:28 Website.IWeb_RemoveWebSite 0-2147467259: Unknown error while removing site: The following tags were not closed: xml, rs:data, rs:insert.{0}

2007-07-31 10:43:28 CWebsite.RemoveWebsiteEx 0-2147467259: Unknown error while removing site: The following tags were not closed: xml, rs:data, rs:insert.{0}

2007-07-31 10:43:28 CDomain.DeleteDomainEx 0-2147467259: Unknown error while removing site: The following tags were not closed: xml, rs:data, rs:insert.{0}

Solution

This suggests that the IIS.xml file which is stored in C:\Helm.Config has become corrupt.

Navigate to that directory and delete the IIS.xml file.

Now try to add/delete the domain again - it should work. The IIS.xml file will also be rebuilt correctly.

If that does not work, contact your support provider.
