Problem
 
When trying to install Secure Folders on a domain, it fails and I get the following errors in the error logs:
 
2005-10-06 21:18:25 Website.InstallSecureFolders 0-2147217178: No secure folder type has been setup.{0}
2005-10-06 21:18:25 Website.IWeb_Execute 0-2147217178: No secure folder type has been setup.{0}
2005-10-06 21:18:25 CSecureFolder.CallMethodEx 0-2147217178: No secure folder type has been setup.{0}
2005-10-06 21:18:25 CSecureFolder.InstallEx 0-2147217178: No secure folder type has been setup.{0}
 
 
Solution
 
This error suggests that you have not configured the Web Service in Helm to use a Secure Folder type. The web service can be found here:
 
Home > System Settings > Servers > Your Server > Web Service
 
At the bottom you can see some fields for Secure Folders. Depending on what Secure Folders software you are using, the data for these fields will differ. The software needed is 3rd party software which must be installed prior to trying to add Secure Folders to a domain.
 
Helm supports two types of Secure Folders software: IIS Password and URL Protector. The documentation for configuring each is here:
