Problem

When adding a domain to Helm, it fails and I get the following error in the logs:

2005-01-26 04:46:14 CWebsite.AddWebsiteEx Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

Solution

1.) This suggests that there is a problem with your Helm services. If you have changed your IPs in Helm recently, you need to make sure that the services are resaved to pick up the new IPs.

Even if your IPs haven't changed, you should do the following - go to:

Home > System Settings > Servers > YOUR SERVER

Click on a service to open it, and then click Save. Repeat this for all services you have on all servers.

2a.) Also make sure that if you are only using the one IP in Helm, you haven't set it to dedicated. The reason for this is that the web service must use a shared IP; you can't have multiple sites on a dedicated IP. So go to the Web Service in Helm:

Home > System Settings > Servers > YOUR SERVER > Web Service

and see if there is an IP in the dropdown box. If there isn't, that indicates that you only have one IP added into Helm, and this has been set to dedicated.

2b.) You need to reset this back to shared by doing the following:

Home > System Settings > IP Address Manager

Click the IP and uncheck the "Static IP" box. Click Save.

Now try and add a domain - if you still get the same error, contact your support provider.
