Resolution

Problem
 
When trying to add a domain, it fails and I get:
 
2004-03-24 04:42:30 Mail.RemoveEmailAccount Unable to contact web service http://1.2.3.4:9998/services/svcDomainAdmin.asmx?WSDL
2004-03-24 04:42:30 Mail.IEMail_Execute Unable to contact web service http://1.2.3.4:9998/services/svcDomainAdmin.asmx?WSDL
2004-03-24 04:42:30 CEmail.RemoveEmailAccount Unable to contact web service http://1.2.3.4:9998/services/svcDomainAdmin.asmx?WSDL
2004-03-24 04:42:30 CDomain.DeleteDomainEx Unable to contact web service http://1.2.3.4:9998/services/svcDomainAdmin.asmx?WSDL
 
Solution
 
Open the below URL in a browser (your IP will be different to this). So the above example would be
 
 
Does this work? If you get "Page not displayed", make sure that the web server is running (either IIS or the Smarter Web Server - whichever you have set it up with).
 
You may instead get the following error:
 
Server Error in '/services' Application.

If you get the above error, you will need to contact SmarterTools as this is a problem with Smartermail. It is when the web service directory is set as the application starting point - they will be able to rectify this for you.
