I have just installed Helm and I cannot login. It gives me an error:
Unable to login due to a configuration problem
However, I have not found any errors in the Helm error logs?
This is down to a communication issue. These are the things you should check:
1.) Is the Remote Registry service running? (Administrative Tools > Services). If not, start it.
2.) Have the HELM_ADMIN and HELM_WEB users been created? (Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Users). If not, they should be created.
3.) If they have been created, then check the properties of each. The HELM_ADMIN account needs to be a member of the Administrators group only, and the HELM_WEB account needs to be a member of the Users group only. If they are not members of these respective groups, add them.
4.) Also make sure that the HELM_WEB user has got Read and Execute access on the Control Panel folder.
Steps 2-4 may be required if you have installed Helm on a non-English version of Windows.
