Problem
When trying to add a domain, it fails and you get the following error in the error log:

2003-07-25 20:49:26 HELMInterfaces:ServU::IFTP_CreateFTPAccount ServU-FTP is not configured correctly.
2003-07-25 20:49:27 CDomain.AddDomainEx
2003-07-25 20:56:31 HELMInterfaces:ServU::IFTP_CreateFTPAccount ServU-FTP is not configured correctly.
2003-07-25 20:56:32 CDomain.AddDomainEx

Solution

This may be because the Serv-U Configuration Guide hasn't been followed correctly. Be sure to read the Serv-U Configuration Guide here:

If you have followed the guide and everything is set up correctly, then do the following:

1.) In Windows Server, go to Start > Run
2.) Type regedit and press return
3.) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE

There should be a path called:

Cat Soft\\Serv-U\\Domains

as this is where Serv-U entries are saved. If this is not there, then this is the problem. You will need to reinstall Serv-U.
