Sticky bit is mostly set for folders inside /hsphere/shared/lib/perl5/ to speed up the frequent references to perl modules from Hsphere scripts, executions of which retain the text segment of the program in swap space after the process process exited. This speeded subsequent executions by allowing the kernel to make a single operation of moving the program from swap to real memory. Most of Hsphere scripts are written on Perl.
