Can additional databases be added to each domain?

Summary
Can additional databases be added to each domain?

Prevention

Details

The Appliance Administrator has full access to MySQL, and can create extra databases and grant privileges to individual users.

The Appliance Administrator needs to do the following in order to create additional databases for your sites:

a] Setting mysql root password:

Log into the server over terminal services or on the console.

Change the directory to the location where you have ‘setmysqlrootpasswd.vbs’. If you chose the default location during installation, you will find this file in C:\Program Files\Ensim\WEBppliance

cscript setmysqlrootpasswd.vbs newpassword

sets the root password to what you specify on cmdline.

NOTE: always use this script should you need to change the mysql root user password.

b] Creating additional database for a particular domain:

In the same directory there is a script called addmysqldb.vbs. You can use this to create a new database.

cscript addmysqldb.vbs database siteadmin_name

This creates all the proper directories and grant privileges.

c] Deleting databases for a particular domain:

In the same directory there is a script called delmysqldb.vbs. You can use this to delete a database.

cscript delmysqldb.vbs database siteadmin_name
