Details
Ensim recently sent out this announcement regarding upgrading to 3.0.4. Customers can continue to install WEBppliance 3.0.4 for new installations. However we ask you not to upgrade your current 3.0.0 or 3.0.2 WEBppliances to 3.0.4. For those customers who are currently have 3.0.0 or 3.0.2 WEBppliances they should uses these manual fixes instead of upgrading their servers to WEBppliance 3.0.4. The next upgrade for all 3.0.x WEBppliances will be 3.1 which will resolve the upgrade issues experienced with 3.0.4.

Fixes for WEBppliance 3.0.0 and 3.0.2 only:

* The Apache component of the bandwidth tracker now no longer outputs spurious messages to the Apache error_log.Previously this issue caused
Apache to become unstartable when the log file reached 2 GB.

- Download httpdmon.so.gz and upload it to your server and then run the follow commands:

cat /dev/null > /var/log/httpd/error_log
(only need to do this if you want to clear out the error_log)

gzip -d httpdmon.so.gz
cp httpdmon.so /etc/httpd/modules
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

* The issue with intermittent file upload crashes webppliance gui.

- Download file-upload-patch.tar.gz and upload it to your server and then run the follow commands:

tar -C / -zxvf file-upload-patch.tar.gz
/etc/rc.d/init.d/webppliance restart

* Domain backup and restore now work for all disk partitioning schemes.

- Download vhbackup.gz and upload it to your server and then run the follow commands:

gzip -d vhbackup.gz
cp vhbackup /usr/lib/opcenter/vhbackup

Fixes for WEBppliance 3.0.0 only:

* More then ~20 users causes the userlist to produce a traceback error

- Download patch2.tar.gz and upload it to your server and then run the follow commands:

tar -C / -zxvf patch2.tar.gz
/etc/rc.d/init.d/webppliance restart

* Can't create a site with a number at the beginning

Download mysqlbe.pyc and upload it to your server and then run the follow commands:

cp mysqlbe.pyc /usr/lib/opcenter/mysql
/etc/rc.d/init.d/webppliance restart
