Since OBAS version 3.3, when a domain registration subscription is terminated, the corresponding domain is not deleted, but switched to DNS hosting with a Registered elsewhere status, so all DNS records for the domain are preserved.

To create a new domain registration subscription for a domain that is "Registered elsewhere," use the following steps:

  1. Click on the "Register/Transfer" button on the domain properties screen:

    Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > DOMAIN.TLD

  2. Select the "Transfer an existing domain" option and the hosting plan, and click the "Next" button.

  3. Select the "Transfer domain to your registrar account manually" option (as the domain is already registered on the registrar), optionally adjust other options if required, and click the "Next" button.

  4. Check the domain contacts information, correct if necessary, and click the "Next" button.

  5. Validate the information that the domain will be registered with and click the "Finish" button.

As soon as the order for the domain transfer is processed, the new domain registration subscription will be created.
