  • Applies to:
  • Operations Automation

Symptoms

An attempt to create a service user with the login user1@example.com fails with the error:

Domain part of login user1 already reserved by registered in Operations Automation domain example.com

Cause

This is the expected behavior of OA. The domain example.com is already hosted on another customer account, and therefore, cannot be used. For example, if the domain example.com already exists on any account in OA, the platform prohibits creation of service users with the domain part example.com on other accounts. This was made to avoid potential issues with provisioning same services, like email, on different accounts.

Resolution

  • Use another login for the service user
  • Consider possibility to create the service user user1@example.com on the account, which owns the domain example.com
