Symptoms

Method get_subscription_transition_info may fail upon different opertions with Office 365 APS 1.2 subscriptions. For instance:

  • APS 1.2 > APS 2.0 migration procedure:

    Method get_subscription_transition_info calling failed. Reason:Seats count '1' of the subscription 0974-...-7be4f5 (offer Id b86aa4c7-...-227dbde5787f) of customer e4b61617-...-d7142932 differs from the value in the Cloud which is '2'.
    
  • prepareMOSI2CSP.py procedure:

    Error by calling method 'get_subscription_transition_info': Method get_subscription_transition_info calling failed. Reason:Subscription 758afb4c-...-706228c9a68e (offer Id 6d0bb94a-...-29ed8f6092b6) of customer 63cd7ba0-...-4ab13d726843 seems to be disabled (limit in DB is 0) but it has a status 'Active' in the Cloud and Seat Count is '7'.
    

Cause

License limit inconsistence between OA and MOP.

Resolution

  1. Adjust subscription limits to be equal on both OA and MOP sides.
  2. Check that subscription is bound with MS cloud in the APS 1.2 Endpoint database as it explained in the internal part.
