A backup operation for a particular VE fails continuously with the message:
Subscription limit for backup space exceeded
There is enough backup space on the subscription in question.
The node, where VE is located, vm2vf failure messages can be found at the time of the last backup operation:
[root@vz01 ~]# grep PACI /var/log/messages-20170402 Mar 22 00:19:52.857 PACI: FAILURE: Vm2Vf has died unexpectedly
Therefore the backup operation got interrupted, the following messages can be found in
/var/log/pa/vps.log on OACI IM node:
2017-03-22 12:19:36,427 (web_96f0ac87-1e01-4c93-855d-1229aaef79b3) ERROR Pipeline [Shared executor thread #1 @1 @INTERACTIVE] - Unexpected failure of the com.parallels.c2u.im.tasks.OnDemandBackupTask invocation at pipeline #1273 [(ON_DEMAND_VE_BACKUP for: VeId[1000003.server-1000009-1]), created at node [im1], step 1 ([BACKUP]), mode: EXEC, state:TASK_IN_PROGRESS, reqIs: null] java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException: null 2017-03-22 14:12:15,777 (CALLBACK_5c47137c-940f-41c0-b3a3-9b115c4fbf85) ERROR PipelineCallbackProxy [ActiveMQ Session Task-817] - Failed to retrieve pipeline #1273, callback backup_done will not be invoked
There is a stuck backup operation in OACI. The message is shown, because consumed backup space is calculated by the existing backups + the space required for an active backup operation (that is stuck). While the backup operation is in progress, the space required is set to VM's HDD limit, which is usually quite larger and may easily exceed the backup space limit.
Restart OACI IM services to release the stuck backup operation:
# service PACI-im restart
The restart will cause unavailability of OACI tabs in OSA Control Panel. In case it is not possible to restart the service, contact Odin Technical Support to apply a direct fix without restart.
