Symptoms

On attempt to access OBAS CP for Plesk subscriptions the following message is displayed:

Cannot log you in to Parallels Panel with your saved password.

The message appears approximately on every second attempt to log in.

Also, sometimes Plesk Domain subscriptions are loading slowly, some of their tabs are not displayed.

Cause

Such issues can be caused by incorrect configuration of networks settings, firewall or routing rules.

The following messages can be found in hspc.log:

Resolution

Check connection between OBAS and the affected Plesk node by the curl utility multiple times:

  1. create an XML file with a test xml-api request:

    #cat req.xml 
     <packet version="1.3.5.1"><server><get_protos/></server></packet>
    
  2. send the xml-api request several times:

    curl -v -k -d @req.xml  -H "Content-type: text/xml" -H "HTTP_PRETTY_PRINT: TRUE" -H "HTTP_AUTH_LOGIN: admin" -H "HTTP_AUTH_PASSWD: <plesk_admin_password>" https://192.168.1.125:8443/enterprise/control/agent.php
    

    where <plesk_admin_password> is the Plesk administrator password.

The error response looks like:

    *   Trying 192.168.1.125... Connection timed out
    * couldn't connect to host
    * Closing connection #0
    curl: (7) couldn't connect to host

If the error is intermittent, please check and fix incorrect configuration of networks settings, firewall or routing rules.
