How to configure Passive FTP port range on Windows Server?

To configure Passive FTP mode use the following steps:

  1. Specify passive FTP port range in IIS Manager:

  2. In the Connections pane, click the server-level node in the tree.

  3. Go to FTP Firewall Support > Data Channel Port Range > insert needed port range and Click Apply.

  4. Allow the connection in Windows Firewall for exactly the same port range as specified in step 1.

  5. Restart Microsoft FTP Service:

net stop "Microsoft FTP Service" && net start "Microsoft FTP Service"
