Question

We are upgrading from POA 6.0 Update 1 to Update 8. Is there anything that needs to be done on OBAS side to match the upgrade?

Answer

To integrate with OA, OBAS uses XML API, so only changes in that component could potentially affect the OBAS/OA interaction. Among changes in API from version 6.0.1 and through all updates to version 6.0.8, the additions are as follows:

  1. Included option in pem.addServiceTemplate API to enable/disable account_wide_services for service template.

  2. Added the pem.setMemberPassword API method.

  3. Added the pem.apache.syncHtAccess API method.

Those options could not break integration, as the core functionality is left intact. Other changes include fixes and optimizations in various existing API methods. Thus, OA upgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.0.8 will not impact OBAS compatibility and there is nothing that needs to be done on OBAS side.
