After upgrade to 4.5.6. domains are not synchronized to name servers. On the name servers the
named service is stopped and cannot be started:
[root@ns1 ~]# service named start Starting named: Error in named configuration: /var/named/named.zones:8: zone 'domain.tld': already exists previous definition: /var/named/named.zones:3 /var/named/named.zones:18: zone 'domain2.tld': already exists previous definition: /var/named/named.zones:13 ... /var/named/named.zones:10248: zone 'domain3.tld': already exists previous definition: /var/named/named.zones:10243 /var/named/named.zones:10258: zone 'domain4.tld': already exists previous definition: /var/named/named.zones:10253 [FAILED]
Also, when for a registered domain Use custom Name Servers option is selected in CP, some DNS records disappear from the domain's DNS zone.
Such behavior was classified as the software issues PBAS-30311 and PBAS-30314 that will be fixed in future OBAS releases.
To fix the issues listed above please download 64-bit or 32-bit hotfix depending on your OS. The hotfix consists of two RPM packages, it is required to install them both.
64-bit hotfix files
32-bit hotfix files
Install them by running the commands below.
For 64-bit OS:
# rpm -Uhv hspc-cp-dns-4.5.6-37.swsoft.x86_64.rpm hspc-domain-manager-4.5.6-37.swsoft.x86_64.rpm # service hspcd restart
For 32-bit OS:
# rpm -Uhv hspc-cp-dns-4.5.6-37.swsoft.i386.rpm hspc-domain-manager-4.5.6-37.swsoft.i386.rpm # service hspcd restart
Warning: Restart of the
hspcd service will cause OBAS downtime for about 10-60 seconds.
The hotfix also makes it possible to Change Name Servers for domains registered elsewhere.
