Symptoms

In case /dev/urandom or /dev/random is added to chroot environment, attempt to download such file via File Manager in Customer Control Panel crashes Apache server on the service node and makes all hosting management operations on the node unavailable. When clicking Files tab, the following error message is displayed:

Internal error: System error is occurred during http request to remote host. [AGENT][SYSTEM ERROR]: Unable to fork process: Cannot allocate memory

Cause

Such behaviour was considered as a software issue PPA-3091 and will be permanently fixed in future product updates.

Resolution

The fix is included in Plesk Automation MU#23.
