Question

Apache service on each service nodes is restarting several times during migration process for each subscription. How to reduce the amount of restarts during the migration?

Answer

By default, Plesk Automation (PA) restarts Apache service on Web hosting service nodes after every change that requires a restart. There are several such changes during the transfer of a single subscription. If the PA Apache service node carries many sites, each restart of the Apache service may take up to a minute. To reduce the amount of restarts add the following option in config.ini, section [ppa]:

apache-restart-interval: 3600

Note: the variable should be changed to an appropriate value. If this interval is short, Apache will restart too often causing a long downtime. If this interval is long, the customers who already use PA will have to wait longer for their changes to be applied.
