Symptoms

There are two customers, say, CustomerA and CustomerB.

CustomerA from his CP registers a new domain test.com, but then changes his mind and calls up the Provider to cancel the order before the payment is processed.

Provider cancels the order. Domain subscription is thus never created.

Now CustomerB from his CP registers the same domain test.com. After that he goes All My Domains > test.com > Contacts and clicks Edit. And in the drop-downs he can see not only his own contact info, but that of CustomerA as well.

Cause

Such behavior was classified as the software issue PBAS-30111 and was fixed in OBAS 4.5.5.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, please upgrade to 4.5.5 as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.

Hotfixes for earlier OBAS versions

Please download and install a hotfix for your OBAS version and OS release and install it with the following commands:

# rpm -Uvh <hotfix file>
# service hspcd restart

Warning: Restart of the hspcd service will cause OBAS downtime for about 10-60 seconds.
