Symptoms

During webspace creation task "Create the web hosting on the webspace #<webspace_id>" fails with the following error:

Unable to update hosting preferences. System user update is failed: Unable to create system user: Unable to execute usermng: column login is not unique

Cause

This is the second attempt to create the webspace example.com. Previous attempt failed with the following error:

Unable to update hosting preferences. System user update is failed: Unable to create system user: Unable to execute usermng: Unable to create directory (E:\wwwroot\example.com): (112) There is not enough space on the disk.

After previous webspace creation failed corresponding user was not deleted from %plesk_dir%\admin\db\ImpersonationCache.db and is preventing from creation of a new webspace with the same owner 'user123'.

Resolution

Remove this login from ImpersonationCache.db:

  1. Go to IIS node
  2. Open cmd.exe
  3. Go to %plesk_dir%\admin\db\
  4. Open database:

    "%plesk_dir%\admin\bin\sqlite3.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\db\ImpersonationCache.db"
    
  5. Remove the login:

    sqlite> delete from ImpersonationUsers where login='user123';
    
  6. Re-run failed task
