Symptoms

I have changed DNS records of my Plesk domain in CP, but those changed did not propagate to PBAS.

Cause

"DNS zone management" permission is disabled for Plesk domain administrator, please refer to PBAS Provider's guide:

For Plesk Unix platform, the "DNS zone management" permission not only allows a Plesk domain administrator to manage domain zone files, but makes the Plesk DNS a primary source for DNS synchronization between Parallels Plesk Control Panel and Parallels Business Automation - Standard. If this box is checked, the changes made to domain zones by a customer from Control Panel will be automatically applied to the Parallels Business Automation - Standard DNS, and not conversely.

Resolution

In order to make DNS records being updated from Plesk node to PBAS the following ways can be used:

  1. Grant "DNS zone management" permission to Plesk domain administrator in PBAS > Service Director > Plesk Manager > Domains > domain > Permissions

  2. Add "DNS zone management" permission to the required PBAS Plesk hosting plan. PBAS > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > Permissions and Settings Upgrade subscriptions of this hosting plan. In this case all hosting plan subscriptions will be affected.
