Symptoms

The logical web servers are not displaying the static IP addresses that are assigned to them in the control panel. As a result, I can't remove static IP's through the control panel.

The following error is generated in the /var/log/hsphere/hsphere.log when any l.server page is opened:

    2014-11-24 00:25:24,418 [TP-Processor3] ERROR psoft.hsphere.CP - Method Wrapper error for method FM_getAllIP
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: operator does not exist: character varying = integer

            at org.postgresql.util.PSQLException.parseServerError(PSQLException.java:139)
            at org.postgresql.core.QueryExecutor.executeV3(QueryExecutor.java:152)
            at org.postgresql.core.QueryExecutor.execute(QueryExecutor.java:100)

Cause

H-sphere Database has not been properly upgraded.

Resolution

Apply the following script to the hsphere database:

psql -U postgres hsphere < /hsphere/local/home/cpanel/hsphere/WEB-INF/classes/service/hsphere-updates-dba.sql

Password for postgres user can be obtained from the /var/lib/pgsql/data/global/pg_ps file.
