After deploying Lync module, the Lync pages take a lot of time to load in OA customer control panel. E.g. loading of Lync users page takes more than 30 seconds. The next time when it is using cache from the web browser, the load is fine. After restarting of pem service on OA Management Node, the pages also start to load faster but after some period it becomes slowly again.
The delay is caused by the Windows service that tries to retrieve the trusted and untrusted CTLs from Windows Update on the system that does not have access to Windows Update, either because the system is not connected to the Internet or because Windows Update is blocked by firewall rules.
If you cannot avoid installing this update on disconnected systems, you can disable the network retrieval of the trusted and untrusted CTLs on the Lync Endpoint host. For the instruction, see MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2677070.
