I want to change root password on SSH-Manageable DNS server registered in Parallels Business Automation - Standard (PBA-S). How to do that?

  1. Login to the name server as root and change root password with command "passwd":

    ~# passwd
    Changing password for user root.
    New password:

  2. Login to PBA-S as provider (or reseller) and update the password:

Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Name Servers > %name_server_ID% > Edit: Use the root password

Put new password into the "Password" field.

Since name server's ID is not changed during password update, all DNS zones remain untouched.
