Symptoms

When I am trying to open mailbox settings in hosting panel under Mail tab, I am getting the following error:

Error message or request description :
Internal error: Unable to open dir /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/admin/@attachments: No such file or directory System error 2: No such file or directory
Message Unable to open dir /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/admin/@attachments: No such file or directory System error 2: No such file or directory
File Agent.php
Line 222
Type PleskUtilException

Cause

This is post-upgrade issue. In PPA 11.1 when you created a mailbox in mixed case PPA created folder on the mail service node in also with a mixed case, for example:

Mail user created: Admin@example.com

Folder created: /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/Admin

Since PPA 11.5 all the folders are being created in lower case, thus PPA is looking for for the folder "admin", but folder "Admin" with uppercase letters exists.

This issue is considered to be a software issue and will be fixed in future product updates, internal request ID PPA-638.

Resolution

It is needed to find all the folders with uppercase letters and rename them:

  1. Login to the postfix node via SSH.

  2. Run the command below to find all the folders with uppercase letters:

    # find /var/qmail/mailnames/ -maxdepth 2 -mindepth 2 -type d | egrep [A-Z]
    /var/qmail/mailnames/eXample.com/Admin

  3. Run the following two commands to rename folders:

To rename folders with domain names:

    # for i in `find /var/qmail/mailnames/ -maxdepth 1 -mindepth 1 -type d | egrep [A-Z]`; do mv $i `echo $i | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]'`; done

To rename folders with mailuser names:

    # for i in `find /var/qmail/mailnames/ -maxdepth 2 -mindepth 2 -type d | egrep [A-Z]`; do mv $i `echo $i | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]'`; done
