Symptoms

I added a new service node and I want to change NS server for my new subscriptions. How can I do this?

Resolution

There are two ways to modify NS records for new subscriptions:

  1. Change DNS resource Activation Parameters:

Products > Resource Types > DNS resource > Activation Parameters > Edit.

select desired nameservers, afterwards all new subscriptions will be created with the NS records pointing to these nameservers.

  2. Change parameters in the Service Template:

    Products > Service Templates > ..template_name.. > Parameters > Edit

find DNS section and set nameservers, afterwards all new subscriptions will be created with the NS records pointing to these nameservers.

NOTE: Parameters in the Service Template have higher priority, so if you set up DNS servers in both ways, DNS servers from Service Teamplate will be used.
