Symptoms

How to change a webspace IP address type from Shared to Dedicated in Parallels Plesk Automation (PPA).

Resolution

  1. Check the resources for the subscription in PPA and make sure that 'IP addresses' is included in those resources:

    Top > Operations > Subscriptions > subscription name > Resources > IP addresses 
    

    If this resource is set to '0', it means that a shared IP address will be used. Increase this value to '1' to provide a dedicated IP address to the subscription.

    NOTE: A dedicated IP address will be given for subscriptions from the IP pool attached to the Service Node you are using. This will be the first IP address from the attached IP pool.

  2. Log into Customer Control panel > Webspaces > ..Domain_name..

  3. On the 'Change webspace settings' page, choose Dedicated IP address for the subscription and 'Submit' your changes. Change webspace settings

  4. Log into the PPA Administration Panel and make sure that all tasks have finished successfully.
