Symptoms

The attempt to remove or manage a domain in customer control panel leads to an error:

Internal error: Package with UID '<some_uuid_here>' not found.

PPA was upgraded recently from 11.1 to 11.5

Cause

Obsolete records in the 'psa' database that lead to a non-existing instance of APS application.

Resolution

To verify that you have the same issue as described in this article, please issue the following query:

mysql> select d.name,p.id,p.parameter,p.value from domains d LEFT JOIN DomainServices ds on d.id=ds.dom_id LEFT JOIN Parameters p on ds.parameters_id=p.id where ds.type='mail' and p.parameter='mailProviderUid' and p.value='<some_uuid_here>';

Where '<some_uuid_here>' should be taken from the initial error.

In case if this query returns some results, this is the case.

To fix:

  1. Find out the correct APS instance:

    mysql> select d.name,p.id,p.parameter,p.value from domains d LEFT JOIN DomainServices ds on d.id=ds.dom_id LEFT JOIN Parameters p on ds.parameters_id=p.id where ds.type='mail' and p.parameter='mailProviderUid' and p.value<>'<some_uuid_here>';

    | name                             | id   | parameter       | value                                |
    +----------------------------------+------+-----------------+--------------------------------------+
    | domain.tld                       |  180 | mailProviderUid | a73515e7-48e3-444d-a33e-636182be3c22 |

  2. Fix the obsolete records (replace the 'uuid' with an existing one):

    mysql> update Parameters set value='a73515e7-48e3-444d-a33e-636182be3c22' where value='<some_uuid_here>';
