A new IP pool of allocation type "Container" is added through
Top > Service Director > IP Manager > IP Pools > New IP Pool:
192.168.10.1 ~ 192.168.10.210, netmask 255.255.255.0
The total number of IP Addresses in this pool is 210. Note: IP range, number of IP Addresses and netmask may be different.
However, an invalid Total number is shown on the "IP Pools" page (
Top > Service Director > IP Manager > IP Pools).
Also, IP Addresses added do not even belong to this pool (
Top > Service Director > IP Manager > IP Addresses).
The issue occurs for Parallels Business Automation Standard (PBA-S) 4.5 that was upgraded from version 4.3 on CentOS5.
Such behavior is considered to be a software issue and is fixed since PBAS version 4.5.1.
Here is the bug ID:
PBAS-29187 - Incorrect allocation of IP Addresses in IP pool type Container
Upgrade PBA-S to the latest version.
The hotfix for PBA-S 4.5-55 is attached. To install the hotfix:
~# rpm -Uhv hspc-ipmanager-4.5.1-02.swsoft.i386.rpm
~# service hspcd restart
Note: The hotfix affects creation of new IP pools. Existing IP pools should be recreated in order to function correctly.
