Symptoms

Autoscale can not be enabled. In PACI-im.log the following error:

ERROR AutoscaleRulesManagementTask [Shared executor thread #2 @2] -  AutoscaleRuleDeliveryTask.error(-2, No response to SNMP SET operation)

Also another type of error can be shown in log:

ERROR AutoscaleRulesManagementTask [Shared executor thread #2 @1] -  AutoscaleRuleDeliveryTask.error(17, Not writable)

Resolution

  1. Check /etc/paciagent.conf on node where container/vm is located. Please make sure that line AGENT_HOST_FOR_REPORTS=<im_ip> is the first line in the file. If changes are made please restart snmpd service:

    ~# /etc/init.d/snmpd restart
    
  2. Make sure that port 161 is opened for UPD traffic from IM.
