Resolution

According to Connecting Virtuozzo or Plesk Node:

If the node runs Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 3.x. Connection to a Virtuozzo 3.x node is established using the special Virtuozzo management interface (called vzagent) running inside the special Container (called the service Container) on a Hardware Node; service Container administrator user name is vzagent0. Enter the IP address of the service Container into the IP address field. Enter vzagent0 into the Login field. Enter the password of vzagent0 user into the Password field.

The same is true for Virtuozzo Containers node version 4.0.

So to register a VC node in OBAS: log on to the Service Container (CTID #1) of the VC node and set the password of vzagent0 user as described in the KB article How do I reset vzagent0 password?

Then register the VC node in OBAS under

Top > Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > Nodes > New Node

Enter the IP of service container (CT#1), user "vzagent0" and the "password of vzagent0 user".

IMPORTANT: According to End of life policy for Parallels server virtualization products VC versions 3.x and 4.0 have reached EOL.

It's strongly recommended that you upgrade PVC to the most recent version:

Upgrade procedure for Virtuozzo 4.0 fail-over cluster to 4.6 or 4.7 version

Planning upgrade from Virtuozzo Containers for Windows 4.0 and 4.5 to 4.6
