Provider may configure size limit for Exchange Mailbox Store registered in POA Control Panel. As Provider I want to know limitations and nuances of a Mailbox Store size limit configuration in POA, in particular I am interested in possibility to oversell diskspace for Exchange mailboxes of my customers.
Exchange Mailbox Store size limit is the maximum space that can be allocated for customers' mailboxes in a Store.
When customer creates new Exchange mailbox, space equal to the size limit of the mailbox is allocated in the Store. If free (non-allocated) space in the Store is less than new mailbox size limit, the system will look for another Store having free space enough for the new mailbox.
POA does not apply Mailbox Store size limit configured in Control Panel to Exchange servers, POA just saves the configured value in own database and uses it during mailbox provisioning/updating.
Provider can set the Mailbox Store size limit greater than the physical size configured on Exchange server, and thus oversell the disk space.
