Symptoms

In the Exchange 2010 Multi-Tenant environment POA task 'Create Company Disclaimer' fails to be executed through the Parallels Windows Provisioning Engine (WPE) with the error message below:
Provisioning request failed. Error in 'SW Managed Exchange.CreateDisclaimer'.
The term 'Get-TransportRule' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Cause

Creating a new connection to Exchange, WPE is using unnecessary parameter.

Resolution

The problem is going to be solved in the future updates to the product, in the mean time use the resolution below.

On all WPE servers in the AD domain where the Exchange 2010 Multi-Tenant installation is deployed, modify the 'CreateDisclaimer.ps1' file in the Exchange provider folder.

1. Locate the 'CreateDisclaimer.ps1' file in the WPE Exchange provider folder. By default the file is located in the C:\Program Files\Parallels\Windows Provisioning Engine\Providers\SW Managed Exchange folder.

2. Create a backup of the file.

3. Find the following lines in the file:
# Connect to Exchange (for create disclaimer settings we can connect to local host)
$session = ConnectToExchangeHost $ExecData.remoteAccess -callContext "CreateDesclimer"

4. Comment out the second line, then insert after it its exact copy without the '$ExecData.remoteAccess' parameter. Finally, the result should look like this:
# Connect to Exchange (for create disclaimer settings we can connect to local host)
# $session = ConnectToExchangeHost $ExecData.remoteAccess -callContext "CreateDesclimer"
$session = ConnectToExchangeHost -callContext "CreateDesclimer"

5. Save the changes and restart the failed task. It should complete successfully.
